If you have not followed Metal Gear Survive, then here is a concise intro. This is a spin-off of the series, plot-related to all other games. It's about how a soldier from the old Big Boss base in the Ground Zeroes finals pulled into the parallel dimension of Diet, where they now survive and fight with zombies. And almost everyone hates this game.

Konami is also to blame, it's hard to argue. And I’m not even talking about the Kojima scandal that apparently ruined the company's reputation in the public eye, but about the positioning of Metal Gear Survive. The network has hundreds of questions in the spirit: “Can you play solo in it?”, “Is there a single player mode?”, “Is there a plot there?” Many people think that Survive is some kind of exclusively online plot-free spin-off that can only be played in a co-op. Even in our editorial office, many thought so! But no, this is a big story release of Metal Gear, just built on Survival mechanics, instead of the usual stealth. With videos, dialogs and a full ending.

It's funny, but most of all, the game will upset just those who come to it for a co-op. The cooperative in Metal Gear Survive is a separate, stand-alone mode that you don’t have to run at all. Defend the point, reflect the waves of zombies - here you have all the Survive coop missions (and all the single-player battles in the game are arranged exactly the same). No joint survival in the vastness of Dita. It turns out fun, chaotic, but very primitive. You can stick to such an hour or two, but any similar game is from Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 to Fortnite - will be interesting about a thousand times. It turns out that they didn’t sell the game.
